At a jewelry trade center in Nanjing, a half-naked woman covered in bodypaint was seen walking down the red carpet on the New Year’s Day.
The bodypainting show was organized by a store there to promote their big discount on the festive New Year’s Day event.
The model was painted with a golden snake on her chest, and four Chinese characters “金价裸奔 (literally Gold Price Streaking)” on her back.
The snake may represent the new Year of Snake that China is entering. (According to traditional Chinese calendar, the first day of Chinese New Year 2013 falls on February 10, 2013.)
The slogan “Gold Price Naked-Run” was apparently used to claim that the store was giving out the biggest discount.
What a crappy stunt, but the promo did catch a lot of eyes.
